Comparing the Crater-Chain Dates

This diagram is just a bar chart of the five crater datings. The plus-or-minus of each dating is expressed as a bar, showing the range of dates that are compatible with that particular measurement. The axis along the bottom shows time in MYA (Millions of Years Ago).

Some measurements are much more accurate than others, because four different measurement methods were used.

Note that there is a range of dates, at around 214 MYA, which is compatible with all five datings.
